Synopsis 

Tari longs to return home to Indonesia after having worked in Taiwan for over ten years, but the Covid-19 pandemic unravels her plans.

As Tari narrates her journey and reveals personal stories about her decision to work in Taiwan and the consequences of it, the systemic misinformation and a lack of rights experienced by vulnerable migrant workers are laid bare.

Homebound is an intimate animated documentary that serves as an urgent wake-up call for those who have contributed to a system that takes advantage of thousands of women each year.
