Simon Brückner | Documentary | 110 minutes | Germany | German (English subtitles)
Synopsis
This look inside the German right-wing party AfD (Alternative for Germany) and its intrigues is almost too revealing to be true. Between 2019 and 2021, director Simon Brückner follows AfD politicians around, offering unprecedented and alarming inside views of a persistent group that believes they deserve more rights and happiness than others.
A German Party looks at a fraction of political Europe that is notoriously closed off to transparent journalism. Their brand of xenophobia and fear-mongering is all too recognisable within the Dutch political landscape as well. A must-see to better understand our shared political space.
