Humans of Film Festival and LGBTQ Humans of Amsterdam are proud to announce our first collaboration with the Rijksmuseum, during Queer & Pride 2024. In honor of this collaboration, that will take place on the 25th of July at the Rijksmuseum, Feargal Agard, director of Humans of Film Festival, has selected a befitting short film that addresses gender diversity. The entire Queer & pride program this year will start from the 3rd of July until the 3rd of August 2024. The film Soft will be screened at LAB111 on the 10th of July, and the films Caer | Caught and Uyra, together with a sing performance by Agnes Geneva, will be screened at Het Ketelhuis on the 14th of July. Alejandra Ortiz will also have talks right after the other films as moderator with intriguing panelists.

During the panel talk program Perspectief op Gender: Toen en nu, in the Rijksmuseum, we will screen the short film Required Reading (2023) by Iniyavan Elumalai. The program stands in relation to the summer exhibition Point of View, which you can visit as from July 5th until September 1st, 2024 in the Rijksmuseum. During the program Feargal Agard, director of Humans of Film Festival shall give an introduction to the film. After the film there will be two panel talks taking place. The first will be about the importance of new perspectives with Maria Holtrop and Charles Kang, curators Point of View. The second talk will be about museums as places of context with Erik van Ginkel, financial director Rijksmuseum and Maaike Rikhof, curator Frans Hals Museum.

The program will end around 20:45, afterward you can have drinks and snacks with us and or take a look at the exhibition Point of View until 22:00.
